Purdue I/O - Why Purdue?

· Purdue has a long history of training graduate students in I/O psychology. In fact, more students have graduated from our program than any other program in the world. In addition, more fellows of SIOP have been produced by the I/O program at Purdue than by any other graduate program in the world.

· Because of our location in a major research university, there are many useful resources and opportunities for learning and collaborating with people from other disciplines.

· The I/O program is in a large psychology department with 8 different areas of graduate study. For us this means a grounding and training in basic psychological principles.

· The atmosphere in our program is highly collegial - we value education and scientific discovery and we ensure that our faculty and students are able to pursue their academic interests in a pleasant environment without the impediment of political or bureaucratic challenges.

· The graduate students are very supportive of each other. Our more senior graduate students often serve as informal mentors and support networks for the younger students.
