Research Interests
My main interest is the link between social power and stereotyping; specifically, I am interested in how possessing power can affect cognitive and motivational factors that perpetuate bias. I have approached this question from two perspectives: 1) how the relationship between power and approach tendencies can facilitate bias and 2) how the intertwined issues of power and gender can promote gender discrimination.
