My research interests fall into two primary areas. The first concerns the impact of prejudice and discrimination on people's romantic involvements. The overarching question I have sought to address so far is this: What are the implications of perceptions of prejudice against one's relationship for romantic commitment and, ultimately, relational stability? My work on this topic draws largely on Interdependence Theory. The second research area addresses a variety of contextual factors that moderate prejudice against low status groups. My work on this topic draws largely on Social Identity Theory. |
